Microsoft Arc Mouse

I know I haven’t posted in awhile, but that’s because I’ve been busy with school.  I’m back and ready to blog about on the latest cool stuff that I found.

Today I will be reviewing a mouse.  A very special mouse.  In fact, it is the only mouse that I have seen that can fold up.  Microsoft’s Arc Mouse is a magnificent feat of engineering and usability.  Built to combat the production of Apple’s Magic Mouse, the Arc Mouse still provides the familiar click wheel and click buttons that many users love.

The catch is that this mouse has no bottom!  While most mice need this bottom part for the laser mechanism and batteries, the arc mouse compacts it all into the front with two AAA batteries (it came with them!), which give it a very futuristic and stylish design.

The Magic Mouse is considered revolutionary (at least by Apple) because it uses multitouch technology on it’s seamlessly white body.

I admit that I did buy one, and used it for awhile.  It was nice to use when it came to features, but the ergonomics of the thing were terrible.  The mouse was so flat that I had to use my palm to move it around so my hand doesn’t hurt.

The arc mouse is much nicer.  It perfectly adheres to the shape of my hand, and is very comfortable to use.

Now this is all fine and dandy, but every critical review must have the pros and cons.  I’ve found only two cons for this mouse.  The first is that it is rather pricey.  I got the mouse for $45 at Target, but the end result is worth it.  The second might just be for me, but I do experience disconnections between the wireless receiver and the mouse.  This may be because the receiver is too far away from the mouse, or because I have something interfering with the signal.

All in all, this is a great addition to your workstation if you want a beautiful mouse.  Go out and get it!

NZXT HADES Crafted Series Computer Case

As one of the items on my wish list, I have been wanting this for awhile.  For my birthday this year, I got it!  It really is a beautiful case, and it has all the stuff on it that I want, and the upgrade capability.  There were a few problems that I had, but they were all due to my incapability of reading instruction manuals.

First of all, the power button is not the silver one on the inside of the front door.  That's the reset button.  The power button is located on the outside right on the top of the opening on the bottom.  I spent a whole day trying to figure that out.  I also overlooked that this case has a LCD temperature gauge on the front door with three temperature sensors.  That was a nice little addition.

Overall, it's a very reliable case.  It's almost entirely metal, which gives it a very nice solidity.  I highly recommend this case.

Google Never Ceases to Amaze

Well, I found, to my surprise, that Google made a very special interactive Google Doodle for the 30th birthday of Pac-Man.

Apparently, the game above is totally interactive, and is not coded in Flash/ActionScript.  It's full HTML/JavaScript.  If you press "Insert Coin" once it will play one player, but, however, if you press it twice Ms. Pacman joins in for some 2 player action!

Aye, ’tis the day of me birth

Yes you heard it (in an Irish/Scottish accent)!  It is indeed my birthday today.  No update on gifts yet, however.
